Career highlights
As a Senior Editing Specialist and Editorial Director for Government Media Offices in the UAE since 2022, I shape strategic editorial and visual content to publish across government platforms, communicating with leading regional and international media titles.
Under my editorship, Your Weekend was awarded best newspaper-inserted magazine at the Canon Media Awards (New Zealand) in 2017 and 2016. Working with visual journalists, print producers and digital editors, I managed four weekly print and online deadlines for Stuff.co.nz.
Deputy editor for the launch of a women’s lifestyle magazine in 2012, Irish Country Magazine went on to sell 20,000 copies on its first national print run. In 2013, this new title was awarded Magazine of the Year at the Irish Magazine Awards. This intensive two-year project involved working closely with in-house advertising and editorial teams to meet ambitious launch targets and publishing deadlines.
My career started as an investigative journalist for Irish Country Living and Mountain Scene, breaking leading news stories of national interest.
